People are experiencing a growing distance from nature. Urban life has separated them from the countryside, from the origins of food, and from the way it is prepared. Pomarola seeks to bridge that gap by bringing a natural, practical, and tasty product from farm to city. At the same time that the brand’s product portfolio was being renewed, we updated the language of one of Brazil’s most popular tomato sauce brands. All product lines received new recipes made without preservatives, with reduced salt, featuring consumers’ preferred seasonings and simple ingredients. These improvements were introduced without compromising the practicality of quick preparation or the pleasure of great flavor. Interbrand developed a new brand platform that unfolded into a renewed verbal and visual language, as well as a redesign of the product portfolio. The new visual identity draws inspiration from the explosion of flavors found in natural ingredients and reinforces the idea that food coming straight from the farm delivers richer sensations, colors, and textures. This concept is expressed through rustic lettering, earthy tones, hand-crafted illustrations, and organic, irregular shapes. The product lines were restructured and organized into three distinct categories: Traditional, Flavors, and Chef. Each one responds to a specific consumption motivation and is represented by an exclusive photographic style that highlights the natural details of the ingredients and the appeal of the final dish. The Traditional line offers practicality for everyday meals. The Flavors line features ready-made recipes, ranging from basil to Bolognese. The Chef line, composed of premium products and carefully selected ingredients, is designed for special occasions and deeper engagement with cooking.
